Having had the privilege of being involved in music and dance from a young age, my identity, not only an artist, but as a human being, was shaped by the wonderful arts teachers I had growing up. It is for that reason that I am extremely passionate about arts education and hope share with others the things that my teachers gave me:
a voice… an outlet of self expression… discipline… and creativity — to name a few.
Teaching Philosophy
It is important to me to foster a positive and safe environment for expression, exploration, and curiosity in lessons. Learning to sing is a marathon, not a sprint and every student must have the freedom to learn at their own pace. I am committed to uplifting every singer regardless of where they are on their journey and supporting the ways in which they learn.
So whether you are preparing to audition for the next stage of education or wanting to explore singing for the first time, we could be a great fit!

WHAT WE’LL DO TOGETHER
I like to establish routine vocal exercises and warm-ups that each serve a specific purpose in vocal development, in addition to assigning repertoire that supports each student’s unique qualities as an artist. Some of what we focus on includes:
Healthy Vocal Technique and Consistency
Musicianship/Music Theory
Acting the Song + Movement for the Stage
Audition Preparation and Package Building
I also teach supplementary PIANO and GUITAR for interested singers!
Because I am also a director and choreographer, I emphasize using movement to find vocal freedom, as well as physically inhabit every word and musical phrase of a song. I believe bodily expression in singing works hand in hand with technique. Even breathing is as much an expressive tool as it is a practical one in what we do!
Finally, no singer is the same, so I make an effort to personalize lessons based on YOUR particular needs and goals! I believe lessons should be a collaborative space to explore vocal possibilities together, and I want you, as the student, to feel a sense of ownership in the time we have together.

*Note: All packages require upfront payment to secure your time slots and promote consistent learning.
Unused lessons expire at the end of the validity period and are non-refundable.

Make-ups and Absences:
Your lesson time is reserved just for you. I am well aware that life happens, so if you need to reschedule, just let me know 24 hours ahead and I will be happy to reschedule! Missed lessons or those cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice will count as used because I can’t offer that time to another student on such short notice.
For those taking in-person lessons, if you aren’t feeling well enough to come to your lesson but still can sing, I’m also happy to switch to online!
What if I (your teacher) reschedule?
I am an active performer and director which means that you are learning from someone who is actually doing this work right now. If I have a production that interferes with our lesson, I will give you as much notice as I can so that we can come up with a plan to either reschedule, switch to online, or cancel. You will never be deprived of a lesson you paid for!
If you paid for a package, the deadline on that is extended for as long as I am away.
